Title:Drastic Spectroscopic Variability of the Be/X-ray Binary A0535+262/V725 Tau during and after the 2009 Giant Outburst
Abstract:High-dispersion optical spectroscopic observations of the Be/X-ray binary A0535+262/V725 Tau during the giant outburst in November/ December 2009 and after it will be reported. The observed emission line profiles, reflecting the structure of the geometrically thin circumstellar envelope of the Be star (Be disk), was highly asymmetric and the equivalent width of them (e.g. -18 Angstrom for H-alpha and -1.5 Angstrom for He I l5876) were highest for the last five years. These facts indicate that the Be disk were highly perturbed and had a component with higer density and/temperature. The line profiles drastically changed not only during the giant outburst but also after it. We discuss the mechanism of the profile variability.
